How to Process Orders in VinoShipper When Compliance Rules Are Deactivated

Modified on Tue, 2 Dec at 12:53 PM

If you’ve chosen to deactivate compliance rules but still want to continue using Shopify for order intake, you’ll need to manually ensure all orders are properly uploaded and fulfilled through VinoShipper. Follow the steps below to avoid missing or unprocessed orders.

Overview

When compliance rules are turned off, orders will not automatically sync to VinoShipper. This means each order must be manually recreated in VinoShipper so that it can be fulfilled correctly. The steps below will guide you through reviewing the order in Shopify, creating it in VinoShipper, and optionally connecting the VinoShipper order ID back to CrushSuite for tracking.

Step 1: Review the Order in Shopify

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin.

  2. Open the specific order you want to process.

  3. Review all order details, including:

    • Customer information

    • Products and quantities

    • Shipping address

    • Any special notes

You’ll need this information to manually create the order in VinoShipper.

Step 2: Manually Create the Order in VinoShipper

To ensure the order is properly fulfilled, recreate it inside your VinoShipper account:

  1. Log in to VinoShipper.

  2. Navigate to Orders.

  3. Click Place an Order.

  4. Enter all order details exactly as they appear in Shopify.

  5. Submit the order.

This step ensures the order enters the VinoShipper fulfillment pipeline.

Step 3 (Optional): Add the VinoShipper Order ID Back Into CrushSuite

Adding the VinoShipper order ID allows customers to track their order and keeps your admin records consistent.

  1. Open CrushSuite.

  2. Click Orders.

  3. Select the order that failed to sync.

  4. Scroll down to the Add VS ID section.

  5. Enter the VinoShipper order ID generated from Step 2.

  6. Save your changes.

Additional Tips

  • Double-check customer information when manually creating the order to avoid address or age-verification issues in VinoShipper.

  • Keep your Shopify products and VinoShipper catalog aligned to reduce discrepancies.

  • If you frequently process orders this way, consider maintaining a checklist to speed up manual entry.
